many many years ago the discipline mistress, after seeing how we were not studying for our o levels, made us stand up one morning during assembly and shout these six words. she went on to make us stand on our chairs on another occasion and raise our hands in the air to gloria estefan's 'reach'.
her ways worked for me. i spent less time at the bowling alley and studied and my results were good. i became a staunch believer of these six words.
but really, not all sacrifices bring u gain. and sometimes, it's long periods of hard work and agony and very limited benefit.
i am a staunch believer no more.
